Wine List

Our fine house wines are blended in Languedoc by our friends Pete and Team from PM Wine Services Ltd, and offer fantastic value for money.

House Wines

2008 Bergerie de La Bastide: This White is a blend of Grenache Blanc, Sauvignon & Ugni Blanc.  It reveals typical notes of dried herbs, white flowers, fennel, juniper & green olive with a touch of citrus to bring up the rear

2008 Rosé St Felix:

Here Grenache and Cinsault are in perfect harmony creating an easy drinking wine with an abundance of raspberry and wild strawberry fruit.

A great glugger but also goes well with food.

Finca Besaya Tempranillo: This Rioja is an excellent example of classic Tempranillo, and is an ideal accompaniment to Red Meats, Pasta & Cheese Dishes.

Per Glass (175ml) £3.25   Large Glass (250ml) £4.50   Per Bottle £12.95

White Wines

         175ml       250ml Bottle

Pinot Grigio La Castella 2008 IGT Venezia, Italy   £3.50        £4.75 £13.95

Finding a good inexpensive example of this ultra-fashionable grape is virtually impossible, however after a relentless and exhaustive search, at great personal risk we’ve done it!

Copeland Vineyards Colombard/Chardonnay     2008 Australia                                          £14.60

This Colombard Chardonnay has plenty of grassy grapiness on the nose, but  with a drier, zesty palate.   The ideal ‘Aussie Top Drop’!

Red Wines

Casa Azul Cabernet Sauvignon 2008

Rapel Valley Chile       £3.50       £4.75 £13.95

This Cabernet is a dark red wine with a touch of purple.  Complex cherry scents combined with chocolate to give an intense aroma.  The persistence of flavour is excellent.

Good Hope Merlot  2004/5 Overberg South Africa     £16.95

This Merlot with its soft juicy fruits & chocolate notes is a delicious red for day-dreaming or with some very slowly roasted lamb on any lazy day, especially Sundays.
